Emmy Awards 2025 – I vincitori di Diego Castelli

Con i premi cinematografici e televisivi va sempre allo stesso modo: se vincono quelli che piacciono a te, allora i premi sono stati dati con grande giudizio e competenza, e se invece vincono quelli che hai mollato o denigrato, beh allora l’Academy è corrotta, piena di gente che non capisce nulla, vecchie cariatidi incartapecorite ecc ecc.

Quest’anno a noi è andata di lusso, perché vincitrici della serata sono tre serie che qui abbiamo amato ed elogiato molto, con forse giusto una sorpresa sul drama: se infatti le vittorie di The Studio come miglior comedy e di Adolescence come miglior miniserie ci trovano completamente d’accordo ed erano forse prevedibili, la vittoria di The Pitt (che porta a casa anche un importante premio al miglior attore per il nostro amatissimo Noah Wyle) è stata più sorprendente, considerando che la concorrenza era davvero agguerrita. A dirla proprio tutta tutta, forse avrei preferito la seconda stagione di Andor, che ho trovato un mezzo capolavoro, e non mi sarei scomposto per una vittoria di Paradise o Severance (che per certi versi è la sconfitta della serata, con il maggior numero di nomination ma un totale di vittorie non altissimo). Ma a conti fatti a me The Pitt è piaciuta proprio, quindi non ci sono problemi (fra parentesi, arriva il 24 settemrbe su Sky e NOW, non perdetela).

È stata anche una serata di record: con tredici statuette fra Emmy principali e creative (gli emmy “di secondo livello”, dedicati a maestranze e artigiani del dietro le quinte, consegnati settimana scorsa), The Studio è la comedy con il maggior numero di vittorie in una singola serata, e sdogana definitivamente Seth Rogen (vincitore anche come miglior attore) in quanto autore vero, credibile, senza se e senza ma, anche se lui continua ad amare la sua immagine di adorabile scemotto.
Altro record è quello di Owen Cooper, il ragazzino di Adolescence che, vincendo a 15 anni, è il più giovane vincitore di sempre di un Emmy. E anche qui, cosa gli vuoi dire?

Alcuni riconoscimenti sono stati più scontati (come le due protagoniste di Hacks, ormai amatissime in sede di premi), e altri meno, come la Christin Milioti di The Penguin (e chissà se Colin Farrell se l’è presa per non aver vinto nonostante tutte quelle sessioni di trucco, ma contro lo Stephen Graham di Adolescence mi sa che c’era poco da fare).
Scontati, ma non per questo meno d’impatto, i premi alla regia di The Studio, per quello straordinario episodio in cui la realizzazione di un piano sequenza veniva raccontata con un piano sequenza, e di Adolescence, perché in termini di messa in scena la miniserie di Netflix è stata la cosa di cui si è più chiacchierato quest’anno. Forse meno scontato, ma ci piace lo stesso, il premio alla regia di Slow Horses, che lo vince per i drama (che Slow Horses sia classificata come drama ci sta, per carità, ma mi fa quasi lo stesso effetto di The Bear candidata nelel comedy).
